Smart Monitoring Group B.V. has acquired a majority interest in the Belgian company RMONI Wireless N.V.
Compass Finance has assisted Smart Monitoring Group (SMG) in purchasing the majority stake in the company.
RMONI develops and manufactures hardware and software for wireless registration and monitoring of critical control parameters with applications in the food, medical / pharma and logistics market. She has now 26,000 active sensors / measuring points that unlock their data via the developed Sensor2Web cloud platform. This platform offers customers 24/7 monitoring of temperature, humidity, CO2 values, etc. The Sensor2Web concept is marketed internationally through resellers. In the Benelux this is done, among other things, via SMG daughter Gullimex.
SMG invests in organisations focusing with their products and services on controlling critical processes surrounding HACCP, temperature and hygiene. The acquisition of the successful RMONI fits well with this growth strategy. In addition, the processing of data in the Sensor2Web platform completely complies with the Big Data & IoT philosophy.
